more Picasso repro's

Here's where I'm getting more and more detailed. I'm really on a roll! I'm enjoying this very much.

Now that I've had my first showing of these, I feel a whole new world is opening up for me.

another color Picasso

This is a 2nd attempt at reproducing another Picasso in color. This time, I used the colored markers wthout using penciled outlines as guidelines. This was all done freehand with a paused image from the film being projected onto a large sheet of paper.

Now, I'm working with color

At first, I tried to made the reproductions and found it easy with simple black line drawings.

Now, that i'm putting color into it, I can see that I have my work cut out for me.

This is my first attempt with color.

As you can see, I outlined the color portions and later filled them in.

Hand made, Picasso reproductions

This is the first drawing we see Picasso do in the film.

I made two versions of the drawing.

The 1st, is where I felt he should have stopped. I felt anything further would have ruined it.

The 2nd, is the way it turned out. Although I don't agree with it, it does give a different perspective - almost like a photographic negative of the first version.

I've recreated some Picasso's!

My art was at the local art gallery, The Banana Factory, in Bethlehem, PA., on Friday, April 4th. I had some recreations I made of works by Pablo Picasso on display.

I made them by finding the 1956 film, "The Mystery Of Picasso" and using that as a guide to recreate the works.

My next scheduled showing will be in July + August at Infusion Coffee And Tea in Philadelphia.

The opening will be on Friday, July 4th!
